A Quick KOMU Update

I continue to work regularly both on the clock and freelance for KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO. My duties include writing and editing stories (in fact I’ve written or edited over 1150 stories in the three years I’ve been here!) as well as develop and implement special projects.

Some of the recent projects that I’ve completed include (but not all get adopted for public usage):

  • Internal blog system for reporter and producer notes on stories
  • Internal training manual system based online using the Drupal CMS
  • External blog and discussion board system using the Drupal CMS
  • Several Google Gadgets featuring news, sports, and weather information for customer’s Google Custom Homepage.
  • A Facebook application that pushes news content into the profiles of users

I’ve got a lot more ideas and projects on the table, unfortunately the funding and support has dried up for many of these projects, however I do hope to include many more details on my web site in the coming weeks as I build out additional pages.
