Astroturfing on the Dark Side of the Moon » The Buzz Bin
Alright, so this blog post from the Buzz Bin is slightly less timely than the others I typically blog about, but I found it interesting none the less. Of course any chance you get to expand your net vernacular is a good thing right?
There certainly is a lot of astroturfing out there in the blogosphere and I see this trend expanding greatly in the short-term. All of the wonderful bloggers out there need to embrace ethical writing and promotional techniques. I think the name of the game is transparency here, if you’re not being transparent, then get out!
This holds true in so many aspects of online publishing and I’ll be the first one to admit that I occasionally use my blog to promote myself and my products, but I try to do so in such a way that it’s not deceitful or misleading.
