Allergy Cases flood hospitals Page 1A-Thursday by Megan Perry
The lede of this story fits the story really well but the headline in using the plural form of hospital is a bit misleading. The story is specifically about University Hospital and them hiring a new nurse to handle allergy sufferers. The story itself is pretty well-written. The Kevin Bradley interview from Missouri Extension was a nice touch to bring in the scientific reasons for having so many allergy sufferers coming in to get help.
On another note, I would be interested to know if the Missourian has tried doing the new stories that appear on the 1a jump to the very back page of the section in order to be easier on readers. I was reading an article in AJR this week about the practice, and now I can’t find a link to the article in order to look into it anymore. I like the idea though and think that it would be a good reader service.
